Student Concession Travel

In partnership with Transport for NSW, concession travel on public transport is available for eligible full-time students at Williams Business College.

If you’re travelling in the Opal network, this means you may be able to apply for a Concession Opal card which has considerable benefits.

TO APPLY FOR A STUDENT TRANSPORT CONCESSION, complete the following three steps.

1. Confirm with us that you’re eligible for a student concession. You’ll need to give your consent so we can share your information with Transport for NSW.

Please send the completed form to admissions@williams.edu.au
Allow 5 business days for this information to reach Transport for NSW before applying.

2. Apply for a Transport Concession Entitlement Card. This card proves you’re entitled to concession fares. When applying, make sure you have your Student ID number handy.

You will need to carry your Transport Concession Entitlement Card with you at all times when travelling (in conjunction with your Opal card – see below) and show it to Transport Officers and to Police Officers on request.
In rural/regional areas your Transport Concession Entitlement Card is valid as well. Just show it to bus drivers to purchase a concession fare.

3. Apply for a Concession Opal card. This is your ‘ticket’, giving you access to concession fares in Sydney and surrounds.

When applying, make sure you have your Student ID number handy and remember to set up auto top up, so you’re always ready to travel. Your Opal card will be mailed to you separately. You will need to carry your Transport Concession Entitlement Card  with you at all times when travelling (in conjunction with your Opal card) to prove you’re entitled to concession fares.

* Excludes Sydney Airport station access fee.
